Terms of service
1. Who we are
InsightLab ("we", "us") is a research and data consultancy based in Accra, Ghana. We connect clients with vetted analysts and research consultants ("consultants") and manage the work from brief to delivery. You can contact us at info@insightlabconsult.com.
2. Your account
You must give accurate details when you create an account and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Requests, quotes and payment
- Sending a request does not commit you to anything. Work starts only after you accept a written quote.
- Each quote states the deliverables, timeline, number of revisions and price in Ghana cedis.
- You pay InsightLab directly, not the consultant. Payment terms (for example a deposit, or payment by milestone) are stated in the quote.
- Please do not arrange paid work directly with a consultant you met through InsightLab outside the platform. Our quality guarantee and dispute support only apply to work arranged through us.
4. Revisions, cancellations and refunds
The quote states how many rounds of revisions are included. If the work does not match the scope you approved, we will work with the consultant to fix it or reassign the project. If you cancel before work begins, we refund payments in full. If you cancel after work has begun, we refund the share of work not yet completed.
5. Academic integrity
For students and researchers, InsightLab provides coaching, methods guidance, software training and feedback on your own work. We do not write, complete or submit theses, assignments, exams or other assessed work on anyone's behalf. We may decline or stop any request that would breach your institution's academic integrity rules.
6. Confidentiality and your data
Consultants agree to keep client information confidential and use it only for your project. We can sign your organization's non-disclosure agreement on request. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
7. Ownership of work
Once you have paid in full, you own the final deliverables produced for your project, unless the quote says otherwise. Consultants may keep their general methods, tools and know-how.
8. Consultants
Consultants work with InsightLab as independent contractors, not employees. They agree to deliver work honestly and on time, keep client data confidential, and follow these terms and our academic integrity rules.
9. Files you upload
Only upload files you have the right to share. Do not upload malware, illegal content or personal data you are not allowed to share. We may remove files that break these rules.
10. Limits of our responsibility
We take care to match you with qualified consultants and to check their work, but analysis and recommendations depend on the data and information you provide. Our total responsibility for any project is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow this limit.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the date of the latest change at the top of this page and tell account holders by email about significant changes.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
